STA players advance to the quarter finals in Croatia!!

Alannah Griffin and Lily Miyazaki won their second rounds yesterday and get set for their battle in the quarter finals today. Have a good match girls!

Congratulations to Krisnaa Muhuntakumar and Harry Hewing came through a strong regional tournament (Grade  3) to contest the final, Krisnaa came out on top, a really good tournament for both of them.

STA welcomes Victoria Larriere (WTA ranking 200)

Great to see the Pro Academy thriving on court today as we welcome Allanah Griffin to the centre and welcome back WTA ranked player Victoria Larriere as she joins us again here at Sutton.
The courts are buzzing as the girls work hard and get set for their next competitions.

Lily Miyazaki gets set for her quarter final match in the Nottingham British Tour

Lily Miyazaki gets ready for her match against Yasmin Clarke in the Quarter finals of the Nottingham British Tour. Lilly beat Jessica Ren (6th Seed) 6/4 6/2 to set herself up for the quarters.

STA players reach the second round in Nottingham

Lily Miyazaki, Freya Christie, and Michaela Ince all got through tothe second round of the British Tour in Nottingham this week. Lily Miyazaki is next to play after Freya and Michaela lost out to their opponents in the second round. Good luck Lily!

Four girls get ready for their matches this week in the Tier 1 British Tour event in Nottingham. The Sutton Tennis Academy players have had a great week of training and are ready to compete.

Evergreens (50+) programme begins

The Evergreens (50+ group) is based here at The Sutton Tennis Academy. The programme provides the group with organised activities for people aged 50+. Activities include badminton, short mat bowls, exercise and dance classes, gym work outs, and table tennis all available here at the academy. The Sutton Tennis Academy runs Evergreens Club sessions on Monday – Friday (8am – 1pm) and Saturday (3pm – 5pm)

Sutton Tennis Academy players step up their play as they continue to climb the rankings!

Sutton Tennis Academy player – LUKE STEVENSON goes on to win the Sutton Autumn Open U14′s event. Luke Stevenson ( number 3 seed)  won the u14 even after a series of  impressive matches. These results bring him to number 9 in UK of the U14′s boys.

STA player Tom Mannings – National French Top 8!

Fantastic results from Tom Mannings who finishes in the top 8 of his French National rating tournament . This tournament held in the Cap  d’agde (South French Riviera)  during half term is the WORLD’s BIGGEST FRENCH TOURNAMENT.  (e.g press media release ). Gathering  more than 6,000 players during one week,  these players went through qualifying  (gathering more than 30,000 players) and are competing during  one week, to become the NATIONAL CHAMPION of their rating!
