Final stages for our players at La Baule – Good Luck!

Lots of practice matches for Kristina and Caleb yesterday and Emile winning his consolation semi-final against a boy from France. Emile will play his consolation final today. Mika booked her place in the final yesterday with a 5-0 5-0 against a girl from Germany. Julian Lewis plays his semi-final this morning and Mika with her doubles final this afternoon.

Latest news at La Baule today!

Great fighting spirit in La Baule today with every match going to three sets. Julian Lewis losing in the semi-final boys U11 6-4 4-6 3-6 and Emile Hudd losing 6-4 5-7 5-7 in a three hour marathon! Mika also playing doubles U9 final and losing in three sets 5-3 4-5 4-5. Mika will play the final of her U9 girls singles tomorrow morning.

A tough week in Bournemouth!

Sutton players competed at the Bournemouth Open seeing Zack Norman reach the third round in the u12 boys event and Rebecca Finch reached the quarter finals in the u18 girls!
 
“A tough week here in Bournemouth but back to the academy for some good training and preparation for the next event and the up and coming Nationals”

Sutton Tennis Academy Players compete in Italy

Sutton (GB) 2 and Ukrain 1 as they battle at Summer Cup in Italy.
 
Sutton player Lana Rush representing GB winning her 3hr match 6/2 in the third set. Sutton player Freya Christie then went onto lose a tight marathon match 6/8 in the third.  Both girls went on to out play their opponents in doubles taking the match 3 & 2.

The STA team compete in France

Good Luck to Caleb Simms, Emile Hudd, Kristina Georgieva and Mika Stojanovic in France! The STA team went on Saturday with academy coach Craig Veal. Good luck also to Julian Lewis who is travelling with the LTA team. This will be a great International experience for all players. Best of Luck!

Emily Webley Smith represents Sutton Tennis Academy at Wimbledon, having received a wild card into main draw. A tough first round playing Klara Zakopalova ranked 35 in the World.

Four Sutton Tennis Academy players qualify for Roehampton Grade 1

Four Sutton Tennis Academy players got into Roehampton Grade 1 qualifying;Freya Christie, Emily Gibbens, Lily Miyazaki, and Lana Rush.
 
Two players – Lily Miyazaki and Lana Rush made it through to Main Draw. Sutton Tennis Academy players continue to climb the rankings! Sutton girls turn up the heat as their rankings continue to improve! Listed below are just some of the latest rankings.
